PrizeKiosks are desktop or free standing kiosks with a software platform to determine winners and award big prizes. Because the prize software is built into the machine (and not delivered via the web) clients such as casino marketers and trade show managers like it because it does not require an Internet connection.
In fact the product started as a tool for our gaming clients to increase their player club membership. Casinos want a fast, easy way to administer big prizes. PrizeKiosk offers up an instant win opportunity, and prints a customizable receipt which is redeemed at the Player Club booth for additional prizes.
While the gaming industry was the initial focus, PrizeKiosk is now driving traffic for banking, malls, trade shows, and special events.
You can offer the chance at a big-money prize of $10,000 to $1 million or more for a low-fixed fee based on the total prize amount. If someone wins the money, you’re only out the fee and not the total prize, which SCA pays. We write you the check to pay the winner.
Most clients include one or more levels of secondary prizes (you can have up to 12 prize levels).
How It Works
So how do you implement a PrizeKiosk promotion? First you determine your prize offer — a big cash prize, a new car, sports tickets for life — whatever fits with your theme and budget.
After you determine the big prize, then it’s time to figure out the secondary prizes as well as the “user experience”. Do you want to collect customer data? This is possible, but you need to be aware that there are throughput issues — meaning, the lines could get long if the person is trying to type their name into a kiosk. This might be fine, but be aware of it. You may want to limit data collection to only name and email, but this all depends on your objective.
What some clients do (and we do this too) is simply collect a business card (or swipe a badge) for a chance to play. This makes things easy and keeps things moving.
Next comes the artwork. Typically an agency or brand marketing department supplies the creative. If not we can create something using any graphic assets you provide.
While most of our kiosk projects utilize standard our standard kiosk hardware, you might want to get more creative if you have the time and budget. Consider creating an entire theme around your kiosk. We did this for the Las Vegas Hilton for a Player Club promotion and created something similar to the “bridge” on Star Trek. You actually walk up a ramp and under these lights shining down on the kiosk. The actual game on the kiosk required you to click on the right asteroids and spell “SUPERNOVA” in order to win $1 million. This promotion produced over 350,000 new player club members.
